Show that : If two sides of a triangle are of the lengths 5 cm and 1.5 cm, then the length of third side of the triangle cannot be 3.4 cm.

Hi mate

We Know That

Sum of two sides of a triangle is greater than third side .

5 + 1.5 = 6.5 cm

And Subtraction of two sides is lesser than third side .

Therefore 5 - 1.5 = 3.5 cm

So the third side should be greater than 3.5 cm and less than 6.5 cm.

Then the third side can't be 3.4 cm
