show that in a right angled tringle, the hypotenuse is the longest side​

Answer:

we know that in a triangle, the side opposite to the biggest angle is the longest side.

so in a right angled triangle, the 90° angle is the biggest angle

the other two sides will add up to 90

why because, the sum of the 3 angles of a triangle is 180°

one of the angles is 90 let other two be A and B

then,

A+B+90=180

A+B=180-90=90

so obviously since none of the angles are negative, both A and B are less than 90 which makes 90 the biggest angle

also the side opposite to this 90° angle is the hypotenuse

which makes the hypotenuse the longest side
