show that in an isosceles triangle, angles opposite to the equal sides are equal?

In above figure let the triangle be isosceles...AB=AC
now draw a perpendicular from vertex A to BC at D
now in ABD and ACD
AB = AC
angleADB = angleADC
AD=AD
Therefore triangles ABD and ACD are congruent by RHS
therefore angles ABD=ACD by c.p.c.t.
therefore angles opposite to equal sides of the isosceles triangle are equal..
