Let the energy of particle at any height = E

Initial energy = ½ mv² +mgH

= 0+vmgH = Eo

Velocity at any height = v

∴v² = u² + 2as

v² = 0 + 2(−g) [−(H−h)]

=2g(H−h)

∴E = ½mv² + mgh

= m/2 * 2g(H−h) + mgh = mgH =Eo

Hence constant
