Step-by-step explanation:

LSA is the curved surface area..

for example let us take a paper and roll it in the form of a cylinder... so area of the paper when it is in the form of rectangle is equal to the LSA of cylinder..

We know that the area of rectangle is lxb, when we visualize it in the form of cylinder, breadth will the circumference  and length will be the height.

So to find the length we have the radius of the cylinder...

circumference= 2πr

length = height (h)

area of rectangle = LSA of cylinder = circumference x height

=> 2πrh
