By using sridharacharya,

a = 1

b = 6

c = 18

y = [-b +- under root(b^2 - 4ac)]/2a

y = [-6 +- under root(36 - 72)]/2

y = [-6 +- under root(-36)]/2

under root(any value) >_ 0

But -36 < 0

So y has no zeros
