Show that quantity 2k/v square has the unit mass,where k is the kinetic energy of the body

Answer: 2k/v

As we know , kinetic energy k = 1/2 mv^2

Substituting this in the quantity given above we get :

2k/v= (2×(1/2)×m×v×v)/v

=> 2 and 1/2 will get cancelled along with the square in the numerator which will give us : mv => kg m/s

Hence, the quantity 2k/v has the unit of mass kilogram as shown above .

=>K=½mv²

=2×½mv²/v²

=mv²/v²

=>m

m Is mass
