√3 - √5
Let √3 - √5 be of the form p/q where p and q are integers, q isn't equal to zero and p and q are coprime i.e., they have 1 as common factor.
Then √3 = p/q + √5
√3 = p +q√5/q..........p and q are integers and hence rational
this means rhs is rational
but this contradicts the fact that √3 is irrational
hence our supposition is wrong
and √3 -√5 is irrational
