As we know in case of a galvanometer the current's magnitude is directly proportional to the tan( angle of deflection). Therefore for max sensitivity the deflection must be 90 degree. therefore sensitivity of galvanometer is maximum when angle of deflection is 90 degree. There's a formula : B = B suffix H tan theta.
