(1/4 + a/4 + 11/2 + a + 3) = (35/4 + 5a/4)
(1/4 + 11/2 + 3 - 35/4) = (5a/4 - a/4)
(1 + 22 + 12 - 35) / 4  = (5a - a) / 4
35 / 4 = 4a / 4
4a = 35
a = 35/4
Now, on putting the value of a = 35/4, we get
(1/4 + a/4 + 11/2 + a + 3) = (35/4 + 5a/4)
(1/4 + 35/16 + 11/2 + 35/4 + 3) = (35/4 + 175/16)
315/16 = 315/16
Therefore, the eqation hold the equality,
LHS = RHS
