We know that for of gravitation is given by
F= Gm1.m2/r2.....................eq 1
And we also know that F=m1g............... eq 2
So from both eq 1 and eq 2 we have
M1g = Gm1.m2/r2
=> g = GM2/r2
.:. acceleration due to gravity is not dependent on the mass of the body i.e. m1
