y=m(x-d) & y-intercept of this line = -md

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation of a line

y = mx + c

where m is slope

x intercept = d

The x-intercepts is where the graph crosses the x-axis

=> y = 0

=> 0 = md + c

=> c = - md

y = mx - md

=> y = m(x - d)

The y-intercepts is where the graph crosses the y-axis

=> x = 0

=> y = m(0 - d)

=> y = - md
