Here,
X1 = 1 , Y1 = 2 and X2 = 1 , Y2 = 5
AB² = (X2-X1)² + (Y2-Y1)²
AB² = (1-1)² + (5-2)²
AB² = 9
AB = root 9 = 3

Here,

AC² = (X2-X1)² + (Y2-Y1)²
