Explanation:

Angle of prism= A = r1 + r2

in case when i1 = i2 = 90 degrees

than r1 = r2 = C

c = critical angles

so, A = C + C

A = 2C

while the critical angle is defined as the angle of refraction when a ray of light enters from on side and refracts and comes out from the other side of the prism

“The angle between two surfaces of a prism is known as refracting angle or angle of prism.” In a prism, a ray of light suffers two refraction and the result is deviation.
