There are many other ways to solve this problem mate

-The way i have used it triangle formula that is if the area of triangle is 0 sq units then the three given points are collinear

Alternative way: You can find the distance of three points AB ,BC,CA and if it satisfies the condition:

AB+BC=AC

Then the three points are collinear...
