slope of line AB = -1-(-4)/(-7-2)

= 3/9

= 1/3 _____________ (1)

slope of line BC = 5-2/8-(-1)

= 3/8+1

=3/9

=1/3 ______________(2)

slope of line CD = 5-2/8-(-1)

= 3/9

= 1/3 _____________(3)

slope of line AD = 5-4/-4-(-7)

=1/-4+7

=1/3 _______________(4)

Therefore,

slope of line AB = slope of line BC = slope of line CD = slope of line AD ___________ ( from 1 2,3,4)

Therefore,

AB=BC=CD=AD

if all sides of quadrilateral are congruent then it is said to be Rhombus
