A(7,8) B(3,-7) C(4,6)

AB=√((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)

AB=√((3-7)^2+(-7-9)^2)

AB=√((-4)^2+(-16)^2)

AB=√(16+256)

AB=√272

BC=√((4-3)^2+(4+7)^2)

BC=√((1)^2+(11)^2)

BC=√(1+121)

BC=√122

AC=√((4-7)^2+(6-8)^2)

AC=√((-3)^2+(-2)^2)

AC=√(9+4)

AC=√13

Using Pythagoras therom

AC=√(AB^2+BC^2)

√13=√((√272)^2+(√122)^2)

√13=√(272+122)

√13=√394

therefore lhs is not equal to rhs
