Answer:

an = n² - 1

So

a1 = First term = 1² - 1 = 0

a2 = Second Term = 2² - 1 = 3

a3 = Third Term = 3² - 1 = 8

...............

Now

a2-a1 = 3

a3-a2 = 5

So a2-a1 # a3-a2

So difference is not same

So there does not exist common difference

Hence an = n² - 1 is not an AP
