to convert a state of matter one has to supply or absorb heat . Heat is to be supplied in terms of latent heat.
eg. to convert 1 gm ice at 0° to water at 0°
.. heat to be supplied is mL (m =mass and L = Latent heat ..which is 80 cal/gm for ice)

Dear student..
Surely, which states of matter can be changed into another state by changing the temperature. Means, the interconversion of their states of matter is possible.
Let's take some examples :
Example 1: Heating water (liquid state), after sometime the water changes into water vapour (gaseous state).
Example 2: Cooling water vapour (gaseous state), after sometime the water vapour changes into water (liquid state).
Example 3: Heating a solid (sublimating a solid), after sometime it changes into to gas (sublimated to gas).
Example 4: Cooling water (liquid state), after sometimes the water changes into ice (solid state).
From the above example, we conclude that by changing the temperature we can change the state of matter conveniently.
