Show that the value of : x3 - 8x2 + 12x - 5 is zero, when x = 1

x3 - 8x2 + 12x - 5

= (1)³-8(1)²+12(1) -5

= 1-8+12-5

= 0

x^3 - 8x^2 +12 x - 5

putting x=1

L.H.S=

=(1)^3 -8(1)^2+12(1)-5

=1-8+12-5

=-7+7

= 0

hence proved
