Two vectors are parallel if their cross product is 0.
a = i-5j
b=2i-10j
a X b=(i-5j)X(2i-10j)=-10k+10k=0
Hence the vectors are parallel.
Alternate method:
Two vectors are parallel if a=λb
a=i-5j
b=2(i-5j)
where λ=2
Hence the vectors are parallel.
