Answer: (x-2) is the factor of 3x³-2x²-7x-2

p(x) = 3x³-2x²-7x-2.

x=2 (x-2)

p(2) = 3(2)³-2(2)²-7(2)-2

= 3×8-2×4-14-2

= 24-8-16

=24-24

= 0

so, it is proved by factor theorem that (x-2) is the factor of 3x²-2x²-7x-2
