X-2=0

X=+2

P(2)=2(2)^3-3(2)^2-17(2)+30

=2(8)-3(4)-17(2)+30

=16-12-34+30

=46-46

=0

THEREFORE x-2 is a factor of p(x) = 2x³-3x²-17x+30.
