by reminder theroem :
x - 2 = 0
x = 2
now substituting the value of x in x³ - 3x² - 10x + 24
= (2)³ - 3(2)² - 10(2) + 24
= 8 - 12 - 20 + 24
= 32 - 32
= 0
hence proved that x-2 is a factor of
