Show that x=4 is a solution of the equation- x-7- 8x/3 = 17/6 - 5x/8 Help in this I'll mark brainleist for sure!

Answer:

Put all x one side and other numbers a side first

x+8x/3+5x/8=17/6-7

Take LCM

(24x-64x+15x)/24=(17-42)/6

(-25/24)x=(-25/6)

(-24)gets cancelled on both sides

x/24=x/6

Cancel 24 with 6

x/4=1

x=4

Hence proved
