KCl

atomic number of K (potassium) - 13
electronic configuration- 2,8,8,1

atomic number of Cl- 17
electronic configuration- 2,8,7

K has 1 in valence shell and Cl has 7 in its valence shell.. so K will give 1 to Cl

K -> K+ + 1e
Cl + 1e -> Cl-
