Answer:

Here in the first figure in Cl 6 electrons are participating in formation of HCl thus the 6 electrons are lone electrons therefore there would be 3 pairs of lone pairs....

& 2 electrons are participating in the bonding thus the would be 1 pair of bond pair...

& since only one electron (one from each atom) is shared by each of the atoms and hence the covalency of hydrogen as well as chlorine is 1.
