make a 90° angle. ...

Then mark an arc.

Then make a right angle triangle starting from zero and join them.

Then measure that drawn line and mark a behind 1.

The write point p represents √2.

a<b<c . hence √2 lies between 1 and 2 by Pythagoras theorum .
