First, we have to draw √5 on the number line.

1. Draw a number line and mark 0, 1, 2, 3, ....etc.

2. Mark 0 as point O and 2 as B.

3. Now from B, draw a perpendicular AB of length 1 unit.

4. Join OA. Take OA as radius and draw an arc which cuts the number line at P.

The point P represents √5 on the number line.

5. Again From A, draw a perpendicular AC of length 1 unit.

6. Join OC. Take OC as radius and draw an arc which cuts the number line at Q.

The point Q represents √6 on the number line.

7. Again From C, draw a perpendicular CD of length 1 unit.

8. Join OD. Take OD as radius and draw an arc which cuts the number line at R.

The point R represents √7 on the number line.
