Answer :

Shri Lalbhai invested ₹72,000 in his shares.

Detailed Explanation :

Given that :

Amount invested by Shri Lalbhai = ₹4,00,000.

Amount recived by Shri Lalbhai after 2 years = ₹5,20,000

So the interests gains = ₹5,20,000 - 4,00,000

 \frac{3}{5} \times ₹1,20,000

To find:

We have to find his investment done by Mr. Shaikh in fixed deposit and shares.

Answer:

Mr. Shaikh invested Rs 72,000 in fixed deposit and Rs 48,000 in shares.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

First we would find the Mr. Shaikh's profit at the end of the 2 years.

              = 5,20,000 - 4,00,000

              = 1,20,000

Mr. shaikh profit at the end of the 2 years is Rs 1,20,000.

Step 2:

Given that, Mr. shaikh invest in fixed deposit and shares in the ratio of 3:2.

Amount invested in fixed deposit:

                     = 3/5 × 1,20,000

                     = 3 × 24000

                     = 72,000 rupees

Therefore,

Mr. shaikh invested Rs 7,20,000 in fixed deposit.

Step 3:

We should now find the Amount invested in shares:

               = 2/5 × 1,20,000

               = 2 × 24,000

               = 48,000
