Total loss of Rs 444 in transaction

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say number of shares bought = X

MV = 60

AMount = 60X

Brokerage - (0.4/100)60X  = 0.24X

60X + 0.24X = 60.24X  = 6024

=> X = 100

100 Shares Bought

invested Rs 6024

Dividend per share = (60/100)10  = Rs 6

Dividend for 100 Shares = 6 * 100 = Rs  600

Sold at Rs 50  * 1000 = Rs 5000

Brokerage paid = (0.4/100)*5000 = Rs 20

Net Cost = 6024 + 20 = 6044

Net Income = 600 + 5000 = 5600

Loss = 6044 - 5600  =  Rs 444

Total loss of Rs 444 in transaction
