∴ x + (x − 3) = 33

⇒ x + x − 3 = 33

⇒ 2x − 3 = 33

⇒ 2x = 33 + 3

⇒ 2x = 36

⇒ x = 36/2

⇒ x = 18

So, age of Subhash = x years = 18 years

age of Sania = (x − 3) years = (18 − 3) years = 15 years
