To convert 40/200 into lowest term we will find HCF of them so HCF =5
40÷5＝8
200÷5＝40
8/40 ＝ 1/8
so, as we know when both numerator and denominator are differt we find LCM of denominators of both the numbers
LCM of 8 and 4 ＝8
3×2＝6
4×2＝8
1×1＝1
8×1＝8
So clearly 1/8 is smaller than 3/4
