Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Shweta purchased a dozen shirts at the Rate of= Rs 700 each .
  • Profit = 8% .
  • GST customer give = 18%.

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • Total profit earned by Shweta after selling all the shirts. ?
  • How much will one shirt cost of customer ?

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

→ CP of 1 Shirt = Rs.700

→ CP of 1 Dozen Shirt = 700 * 12 = Rs.8400 .

→ Profit % = 8% .

→ So, Total Profit = (CP * Profit%) / 100

→ Total Profit = (8400 * 8) / 100

→ Total Profit = Rs. 672 (Ans.)

Hence, Total profit earned by Shweta is Rs.672 .

Now,

SP of 12 Shirts = CP of 12 Shirts + Total Profit

→ SP of 12 Shirts = 8400 + 672

→ SP of 12 Shirts = Rs.9072

And,

SP of 1 Shirt = (9072)/12

→ SP of 1 Shirt = Rs.756..

Than,

SP of 1 Shirt = 756

→ GST = 18% .

→ Price paid by customer including GST = [SP * (100 + GST%) ] / 100

→ Price paid by customer including GST = [756 * (100 + 18) ] / 100

→ Price paid by customer including GST = (756 * 118) / 100

→ Price paid by customer including GST = Rs.892.08 (Ans.)

Hence, One shirt Cost the customer Rs.892.08.
