Shyam's present age = 3x.

=> According to the Question.

(x) + ( 3x ) = 56

x + 3x = 56

4x = 56

x = $\frac {56}{4}$

x = 14

=>Sohan's present age
= x
= 14

=> Shyam' s present age
= 3x
= 3 × 14
= 42

=3x

ATQ,

x+3x=56

4x=56

x=56/4

x=14

Which means, Age of Sohan=14 years
