Required Answer:-

Refer to the attachment. An real, inverted and enlarged image can be only formed by convex lens if it's asking for lens. The image should be placed in between F1 and 2F1 to get the image of above characteristics.

Note:

  • When it comes to image formation, convex lens and concave mirror forms similar type of images depending on the object position from lens.
  • Similarly, concave lens and convex mirror.
  • Hence, Do check before answering. Whether it's asking about lens or mirror.

Required Answer :-

The lens used by Shyam is covex lens. Also, The position musy be between 2F1 and F1

Know More :-

A convex lens is a kind of lens which have convergent ray of light coming from a source that convey to its principal axis in a parallel line.

Lens formula

1/u + 1/v = 1/f

u = image distance

v = object distance

f = focal length
