Shyam sold his guitar at Rs. 8,250, thereby making a profit of 10%. At what price should have Shyam sold the guitar to make a profit of 25% ?

S.P and P% are given

S.P = C.P (1+ P% /100)

8250 = CP (1+10/100)

8250 = CP (11/10)

CP = 8250 x 10/11

CP = 7500

Now take profit% as 25%

SP = CP (1+ P% /100)

SP = 7500 (1+ 25/100)

SP = 7500 (5/4)

SP = Rs. 9375
