Shyam sold the motorcycle to Ravi at a loss of 28%.

Hence, SP1 = x - 28% of x = x - .28 = 0.72x

Now Ravi spend 1680 on its repair.

Hence, CP1 = (0.72x + 1680)..because SP of shyam is CP for Ravi).

Now, Ravi sold the motorcycle to Hitesh for 35910 and makes a profit of 12.5%.

Hence, (0.72x + 1680) + 12.5/100 (0.72x+1680) = 35910

=> 0.72x + 1680 +0.09x + 210 = 35910

=> 0.81x = 35910 – 1680 – 210

=> x = 34020/.81 = 42000

So, the cost price of the motor cycle for Shyam is 42000
