Shyam tried to help his mother in making Sharbat. In hurry he added a large

amount of sugar in water and found out that sugar did not dissolve in it.

a) What type of solution did he obtain?

b) Suggest two ways to Shyam that help

him in dissolving the sugar.​

a. When a solute (the sharbat) can no longer hold/ dissolve the solvent ( sugar) it is said to be a saturated solution.

A saturated solution is a solution that is so full of a solvent, that it can no longer hold any more.

b.

1. heating the solution will allow the solution to hold more solvent.

2.he can increase the solute (by presumably adding water). This can cause it to hold the remaining sugar
