Suresh starts from A. His afterwards movements are shown in the diagram made according to the instructions. His final position is F. Now F lies to the East of A. He is at a distance AF which is (30+15)i.e. 45m.

Given,

Shyam walked \[35\] m towards the north and then he turned to his right and walked \[30\] m. Later, he then turned to his right and he walked \[35\] m. Now turned his left and walked \[25\] m.

To find,

The distance between the starting and the endpoint along with the direction.

Solution,

Refer to figure.

Therefore, the distance between the starting and the endpoint is

\[\begin{array}{l} \Rightarrow 30 + 25\\ \Rightarrow 55\end{array}\]

Hence, the distance between the starting and the endpoint is \[55{\rm{m}}\] and is facing west.
