the answer I am sending is not yours but if this type of questions come in test then you want do like this

Explanation:

Let the person had 100 Rs with him

∴Price per orange is 2 Rs.

And price per mango is 2.50 Rs.

After Keeping 10 rs. for taxi he left 90 Rs.

Price of 20 mangoes=50 Rs.

Remaining money=90−50=40Rs.

So he can buy

2

40

=20oranges for this amount

Answer:

Correct option is (c) 40.

 \sf

Explanation:

Let the price of one bananas be x.

Then, the total amount the person has 100x.

If 80 apples cost 100x.

Then, 1 apple = 100x/80

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 1.25x

Given that 10% of the amount for taxi = 10% of 100x

 \rm \implies  \frac{10}{100}  \times 100x \\

\rm \implies  10x

Given that he buys 40 apples.

From (i) if the cost of 1 apple = 1.25x

Then, the cost of 20 apples = 40×1.25x

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = 50x

Money left with person = total money - cost of apples = 100x-10x-50x

ㅤㅤㅤ = 40x

If one banana cost x.

Then, 40 bananas cost = 40x

Therefore, the number of bananas he can purchase = 40
