He calls Ranga suddenly when Ratna is singing to arrange a surprise meeting.

In the chapter, Ranga marriage, Shyama is seen as the benevolent narrator with good doer.

It can be clearly seen that he was actually concern about the marriage of Ranga and Ratna.

He made a clever plan with Shastri to make sure that his good intentions can come into play making two lives happy with each other.
