Shylock says:'... I crave the law, penalty and forfeit of my bond.' Does he want the law to take it's curse because he believes in the rules of the law? Or does he have another reason and motive for wanting the legal bond to be excecuted? How can you tell?

He as the another reason that he as given three ducats for Bassanio and Antonio will take a bond .If Bassanio could not pay the ducats ,he would take a pound of flesh from Antonio.Shylock had a revenge on Antonio and he think it is nice opportunity.

Shylock did not believe in the rule of law. He had some other motive of claiming for justice. Shylock hated Antonio as Antonio criticized him and other moneylenders for loaning money at high rates of interest. As per the bond, Shylock had to obtain Antonio's flash. He had to take revenge on Antonio so he thought it was a nice opportunity. So, he wanted the law to be followed.
