shylock says : ' I crave the law , the penalty and forfeit of my bond . ' does he want the law to take it's course because he believes in the rule of law ?or does he have some other reasor and motive for wanting the legal bond to be executed ? how can you tell ?

Shylock have hatred for Antonio as he is a Christian that is why he made that bond. Shylock know that the court will have to give the justice as in between the act he says that i want my penalty and the court must give me the penalty. Antonio called Shylock a dog made fun of his achivements and that is why he want his penalty which he is not able to get because of the presence of mind of Portia she saves Antonio from giving the penalty. To take revenge from Antonio for the works he did like making fun of Shylock, is the reason why Shylock wants the legal bond to be executed.
