a)Antonio accepted the bond as he knew that his ship were out on the seas and when they would return he would pay back all the money borrowed from Shylock.
b)Shylock referring Jacob's story to charge interest which was borrowed by Antonio because Antonio doesn't believe in charging or paying interest and he mocks Shylock for using bible as justification for charging interest.
