1. With the development in the field of science and technology, the need of commonly acceptable system of units is seriously felt all over the world particularly to exchange scientific and technical information. System international provide frame of these commonly acceptable system of units.

2. SI unit is an international system of measurements that are used universally in technical and scientific research to avoid the confusion with the units. Having a standard unit system is important because it helps the entire world to understand the measurements in one set of unit system.

3. This International System of Units is necessary to ensure that our everyday measurements remain comparable and consistent worldwide. Standardizing such measurements not only helps to keep them consistent and accurate, but also helps society have confidence in information. For instance, mass is measured every day, and having agreement on the definition of the kilogram means that consumers can trust that the shop is really providing the mass they say they are. Equally, having reliable information on climate change, pollution and medical diagnostics is important to society and builds trust and allows effective decisions to be made.
