Let x is the max mark of the exam
Marks of Siddharth = 40 x /100
Given that he failed by 10 marks
max pass mark = 10 + (40 x /100)
Marks of Udit = 60x /100
Given that he got 15 marks more than pass mark
minimum pass mark = (60 x /100) - 15
From, these
10 + (40x/100) = 60 x /100 - 15
25 = x/5
x= 125 = max marks
min pass mark = 60 x/100 - 15 = 60
Marks of Siddharth = 40 x /100
Given that he failed by 10 marks
max pass mark = 10 + (40 x /100)
Marks of Udit = 60x /100
Given that he got 15 marks more than pass mark
minimum pass mark = (60 x /100) - 15
From, these
10 + (40x/100) = 60 x /100 - 15
25 = x/5
x= 125 = max marks
min pass mark = 60 x/100 - 15 = 60
