 \bf \bold{ \underline{given}}

  • Side of cube,a=2cm

 \bf \bold{ \underline{to \: find}}

the surface area of all vertical faces and total surface area of the cube.

 \bf \bold { \underline{formula \: used}}

 \red{ \star \: lateral \: surface \: area \:   of \: cube= 4a {}^{2}}

 \red{ \star \: total \: surface \: are \: of \: cube = 6a {}^{2} }

 \bf \bold { \underline{solution}}

l.s.a = 4(2) {}^{2}  =  > 4 \times 4 =  > 16

t.s.a  =  &gt; 6(2) {}^{2}  =  &gt; 6 \times 4 =  &gt; </strong><strong>2</strong><strong>4

Given :

Side of cube = 2cm

To find :

1) Surface area of all vertical faces of cube

2) Total surface area of the cube

Solution :

1) Surface area of all vertical faces = Lateral surface area

=> 4(side)²

=> 4(2)²

=> 4(4)

=> 16 cm²

2) Total surface area of cube

=> 6(side)²

=> 6(2)²

=> 6(4)

=> 24 cm²

Some formulas :

T. S. A of cube = 6 (side)²

L. S. A of cube = 4 (side)²

Volume of cube = (side)³

T. S. A of cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + lh)

L. S. A of cuboid = 2( l + b) h

Volume of cuboid = (l x b x h)

T. S. A of cylinder =2πr(h + r)

L. S. A of cylinder =2πrh

Volume of cylinder = πr²h
