considering anyone triangle we get...

${10}^{2} = {8}^{2} + {x}^{2}$


as it is a right angled triangle by using pythagorus theorem. .

100 = 64 + x ^2

100 - 64 = x ^2

x = root 36

x = 6


so the other diagonal is 12cm .
