3 times will its perimeter increases.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Side of a square is 10 cm its side is tripled.

To find : How many times will its perimeter increases?

Solution :

The side of a square is a=10 cm.

Perimeter of the square is P=4a

i.e. P=4\times 10

P=40\ cm

Its side is tripled i.e. a=3(10)=30

The new perimeter is

P_n=4\times 30

P_n=120

We have to find how many times the new perimeter is

i.e. Px=P_n

40x=120

x=\frac{120}{40}

x=3

Therefore, 3 times will its perimeter increases.
